Hot Fun in The Summer Time

Wow...What a busy week we have had!

Yesterday (Tuesday, July 15th), I visited with the kids at Knowledge Beginnings in Westwood. Because it was so hot outside, we actually did our shows indoors, with two different groups! Our first group was pre-k and kindergarden kids, who were VERY loud during "Do The Monkey." Plus Miss Sarah learned how much fun it is to assist The Bubble Music Man by helping during our "Big Bubble" part.

The toddlers were my second group. Toddlers are very funny to me...they either really get into the show, or they cry. Yesterday was a mixture of both...but fun was had by all!

Today, I visited with Dolly's Nursery School in Hull. It was nice to see my good friend Kevin and all of the children at Dolly's. I even made some new friends today...Joanna helped with the Chicken Dance, Nick was our Limbo leader, and I even received some special help from Josie who helped with the different characters who joined us during the show!

Where does the time go ?

Wow...I took off for a few days for July 4th, and a whole week went by.

The Bubble Music Man has been VERY busy since July 4th. I was happy to have some time off and did get to see some fireworks over July 4th weekend.

Today (Monday, July 14th), I visited with the kids at Creative World in Raynham. We had the toddlers in the first group who danced around and enjoyed bubbles. In the second group, my new friend michael lead the limbo, and we chased bubbles throughout the classroom. We were indoors today with the change of rain. But when i left the sun was shining!

Over the last week, I visited with 5 different groups. Yesterday, I was invited to perform at Brianna's 3rd Birthday. Brianna and I (and her mom) met at the Holy Nativity party we did last month. Her party had quite a few children, as well as family and friends...all who enjoyed bubbles in her backyard!

Last Tuesday, I visited with the group at Bright Horizons at Reebok in Canton. Because of the humidity, we decided to have a bubble party indoors, and discovered that kangaroos did not live on Old MacDonald's farm.

Last Wednesday included another visit to Creative Kids Academy in Walpole for another Bubble Party. I always like visiting there...the staff is friendly and the kids are so much fun and involved in the show. Some of them even know what is going to be happening next!

After the show at Creative Kids Academy, I enjoyed a break in my day, then went to the Concerts On The Common in Franklin to perform for the children and families prior to the Quintessential Brass Band performance. I grew up in a small town, and it was great to see so many families coming out for this kind of an event. I wish that more towms would consider a weekly event where people in the community can come and enjoy a great show or concert in their hometown!

Last Thursday, I visited the KinderCare in Westwood for two great shows with toddlers, pre-schoolers and even some bigger kids as part of their summer camp program. It was a very hot day...it reminded me of the days when I was a kid. We used to try to fry an egg on the sidewalk just for fun!

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer fun! Don't forget bubbles!

A Very HOT Tuesday!

Today, I visited with about 40 kids at the Agape Cild Care Center in Brockton. We had a group of toddlers as well as pre-school children who came outside and enjoyed the show!

Miss Kim and the teachers at Agape were very helpful in getting the children ready for limbo, which turned out to have small groups of kids going in different dirrections under the limbo pole. We also learned that elephants and tigers are not found on Old MacDonald's Farm.

I also learned that the children of Agape also did some unique fundraising to have me come visit, including a bake sale, a penny dirve and other fundraising activities. Great job everyone! I was so glad to come by and party with you!

July 4th is just around the corner...I can't wait to see fireworks this year!

Stay cool!

It's almost JULY!

Wow...

I just read through my blog and it has been a very busy month of June. It has also been VERY hot lately!

Last Friday, I went and visitied with some new friends at the Town Of Wilmington Summer Program, where we did two shows...the first for the four and five year olds, and the second for the six and 7 year olds. Although it was warm, it was a great day for bubbles and great music. Even the teachers and volunteers were dancing and having a great time with the kids. We did the limbo and even made some really BIG bubbles.

This weekend, I worked a wedding for Rich and Heather, a very nice couple in Connecticut. No bubbles though, but a fantastic wedding celebration with a beach theme. (By the way, did you know that our company does more than JUST Bubble Parties? check out http://www.robpetersentertainment.com/ for more information.)

Today I visited the KinderCare in Sharon and had fun with about 30 children and 10 toddlers dancing in bubbles and some great music. I also met two new friends: Dale, who is five years old helped me with the Chicken Dance, and Aleka who led the limbo. Also Miss Tori was our "high five" buddy and helped me keep the kids moving in the Limbo line in the right direction.

This week is the week of July 4h...one of my favorite times of the year. I like meeting with friends at cookouts, or going to the beach and enjoying a relaxing day in the sun or even seeing a parade. I also have been to see the Boston Pops and fireworks in Boston twice over the past few years. If you have never been before, it is quite an experience, and can be a great day with your family.

I also like the music that they play as part of the July 4th celebration...very patriotic. In fact, for the rest fo this week, we will be using some patriotic music as we set up and get ready for the show.

Whatever your July 4th plans are...I hope you enjoy! And remember, nothing completes a July 4th party better than BUBBLES!

Where has the Bubble Music Man been?

Greetings everyone...

I have been a very busy person over the past week, so I am now catching up on all of the excitement since I last wrote.

Last Friday (6/20) I was at the Wollaston Child Care Center for 3 shows. In addition to the many bubbles we did, the kids during one of the shows did a special chant when the train went by. It was also a very hot and sunny day, and we had loud animals during "The Monkey" song by the Wiggles.

This past week was very busy...between the end of school and beginning of Summer Camps at some of the day cares in the area, I have been all over the state. Monday (6/23) began with a visit to my friends at KinderCare in Norwell. Unfortunately, we were inside due to the chance of rain, and we did a special session for the toddlers. The children in the second session were very enthusiastic and dancing the whole time. It was so much fun that I didn't want to leave.

Tuesday, I visited the KinderCare in South Easton. The toddlers loved the bubbles as much as the teachers during the first group. The second group I performed for was very loud and full of energy. Miss Stephanie was also celebrating her birthday, so I let her pick the children for the Hula Hoop activity, and my friend Jonathan was great in helping us with the Chicken Dance.

Tuesday afternoon was very stormy! So stormy in fact that the graduation and party for Bright Horizons in Marshfield had to be moved indoors, and our show was held in a separate room inside the church. I would like to thank the Pastor for making this room available so we could have our Bubble Party. I also made many new friends, including Luke and Evan, who were very nice because they helped me with moving my gear from the van in to the room inside. There were also many parents who came to watch their children graduate, and stayed to dance in the bubbles with their kids.

Yesterday (June 25th), my day started with a trip to North Reading to visit Bright Horizons. We had a special session for the toddlers, then the preschool children came out. The teachers were very helpful in getting the children organized for me, and we had a VERY long line for the Limbo!

Wednesday afternoon, I visited with the children at KinderCare in Plymouth. I made many new friends, including Allison who led the limbo for us. Allison did a great job, even with her arm in a cast...I really liked the color of her cast...PINK! They even gave me an apple to eat for the ride home!

Today...I was at KinderCare in Canton. What a great day with the toddlers! Some of the kids at the day care centers I visit come up with special ways to begin the show, including the toddlers, who today made up a very special Bubble Song for my visit. The group of pre-school and pre-kindergarden kids were great, including my new friend Tyler, who lead the limbo around the playground. I could tell that the kids really enjoyed my visit today, because they all wanted me to stay longer, and took the time to thank me and say goodbye!

So as you can read....it has been a very busy week. I am really looking forward to a couple of days off, which will come next week with July 4th weekend. I may even put a bubble machine on to watch when I watch the fireworks in my neighboorhood.

Remember...watch the bubbles....I hope everyone is having a happy and safe summer!

What a Thursday!

Today, I visited my friend Miss Jen and her children at the Carriage House Nursery School in Cohasset. We had a great time in the partly cloudy weather with Miss Kelly, Miss Sarah and Miss Charlie.

I even made some new friends and enjoyed Chloe helping me lead the limbo, Sohhia who I got to Twist with and Dylan who helped identify animals before the Chicken Dance.

Today was my first of several visits to the Carriage House Nursery School this summer. The kids were by far the loudest during "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes", and we even enjoyed cold drinks while I did Big Bubbles for them.

I am also really happy about the Boston Celtics winning the World Championship that I was able to watch some of the parade today on TV. I also spent the rest of my day getting ready for next week. Can you imagine that in one week, I will be visiting 10 different day care and pre-schools?

Some frequently asked questions...and the answers

Hello again...

I figuered that since there are no Bubble Parties on Wednesday, that I would answer some of the most frequently asked questions I am asked during Bubble Parties.

Q: Where can I get one of those Bubble Swords you use for the "Big Bubble" part of your show?

A: In years past, I have been able to find these at Wal-Mart. This year, they have been hard to find. However, I did find them at Amazon.com. Here's a link for you:

Q: Do you do other parties in addition to Bubble Parties?

A: Yes I do. I also operate the Rob Peters Entertainment Group, where we perform for Weddings, Company Events, Anniversaries and more. Check out our website at www.robpetersentertainment.com for more information, or to see if we're available for your event.

Q: What happens to the bubbles at the end of the show?

A: Any unused bubble juice is stored in special containers where they stay until the next show. The bubbles that come out of the machine are usually popped by the time we are done, however, some still float on, beyond where we can see!

Q: Can I send you pictures from a Bubble Show for your Blog?

A: YES....PLEASE! In fact if you do, I will be happy to use it here. Feel free to e-mail it to me. (Any pictures that will be used will require an authorization form and a signature from a grown up authorizing us to use it!)
